The MODs at DD are top knotch, post feedback

Duckdice MODs are the beating heart of the community. Out of respect for Bobstone let me start by stating I know Admin are nit slave drivers, but until admin/mods are willing to publically release the info on exactly how MODs are compensated Im going to keep (im stoned whats that word where your giving time and support to a cause?lol) giving my 2 cents on ideas of how we can better reward top tier customer service for the gamblers by the MODs.

What if we did MOD of the week once a week, where the players vote on who they feel was the most helpful to them that particular week. The winner getting $100 worth of bitcoin, paid by admin/aka degens like me.

This would onky cost the site $400 a month, $4800 a year, witch may sound like a lot. But if you consider the fact that I lost about $600 in about 20 minutes within the last month, and I only got 2 feet. As well have never once had a bet big enough to show up in chat.

Lets be honest duckdice is easily clearing $500,000 use a month on average. Now take $100,000 of that off the top to pay for rakeback, sniper contests amd such. With this very conservative estimate, the site clears 4.8 mil a year or $100,000 a week.

Now with that is mind is rewarding the people who keep people like me and many others comming back and gambling, as well as keeping DD the best dice site there is. Is $100 a week really a lot of money, if we consider all the work Mods like Ace, Bobstone, loverboy, miki, belenlora1, Krito put in to keep the well oiled machine running?

Lol dude, first, thank you for recognising what we do around here :)

But secondly, though we don't discuss exactly what we do get i do want to say that DD are very fair and considerate towards their mod team and live support helpers.

Secondly, i'm not sure us being in such competition with each other is necessarily a cool idea --- we all try our best and have different commitments and roles, it wouldn't necessarily be fair to do something like that :)

That said, i do like the idea of the community having more of a democratic involvement in how we 'run' things so it's not always fascist mods doing facist things , i don't think monetary award is the best route for that (and poses some ethical concerns)

Just my 2 cents anyways

Like the Idea on basic of good work n feedback my vote for

As always ypur feedback valuable with solid points. The idea of the post was mostly about giving credit to the people like you and Ace, who easily put in 50+ hours a week of quality Mowing. Not all MODs are created equal (that said DD only gives out moderator status to people with exceptional customer service/ editing skills.

Honestly unless it paid at least $200 a week I wouodnt want to be a MOD. I can be professional, and turn my filter on when I have to. You know how I am, the way I chat would be unprofessional if I were a MOD. Youd be surprised how fast I can switch gears when required.

I think a huge reason DD is the best place to chat, is you guys are as fair as it gets with the mutes for the most part.

IMO perma muting anyone is too harsh and promotes multi accounting. For the worst of repeat offenders, personally Id mute them 2 months at a time. Anyways every great chat from the past that I remember was ruined by power tripping mods. Look at SWC for example, the chat box was theyre main attraction. Then they perma muted a bunch of OG seals. When I asled why, in their words. " We are removing toxic elements from chat. ". Freedom of speech only limits what is needed. Only thing we cant really do here in the US is threaten to kill the president ( You would think thats a given, but people are stupid.) National Spy Agency keyword "Datamine dez nutz" . anyways rheres like 2 other things I cant say, in certain situations, but I dont want to provoke any of thr worst cartels or gangs, 3 letter agencies

So you guys finally get paid for it 😂

thank you so much for the appreciation, that only is already a huge reward for us. in the world where mod's are mostly the shock absorber of some grumpy players. (well we do understand that truly) all we can say is thank you.... 🙏
