Reinstate bobstone

Guys i want to clarify a few things. I did expect to be able to return to work and for everything to be fine almost immediately, despite my lack of contact due to difficult circumstances. In fairness to all involved, it's not the first time I've gone 'awol' the past 12 months due to a mix of personal issues.

Anyways, i have submitted proof around 24 hours ago, i am hoping to hear something soon though i haven't yet....

Whatever happens, it's not really DD's fault or any one individuals but a mixture of things, i've probably taken a lot of things for granted simply because DD has treated me very well over the years due to them recognising that i have also given alot to them, and i over reacted to percieved changes to how things work have to be threatening when they don't neccesarily need to be read like that, just a push to a more formal way of working i was unacustomed too from this place.

So i appreciate the few of you who've shown support, but whatever happens, understand it was probably Bob's fault.

it's kind of sad that someone that has put so much towards this site can be thrown to the side so easily. It is a real shame that it has come to this. Bob is and was one of the defining factors of duckdice. I personally would like to see the decisions that have been made, be thought through once more.

I understand that you want to ensure the site is managed professionally and that everyone involved follows clear rules and expectations. At the same time, I respectfully ask you to reconsider the decision regarding bobstone.

bobstone has been part of this community for nearly a decade, and during that time, he has become an anchor for both the platform and its members. Many of us see him as a cornerstone in keeping things not only functioning smoothly but also welcoming and vibrant. Decisions and transitions can sometimes involve oversights or gaps in communication, and I believe this situation may fall into that category rather than a deliberate violation on bobstone's part.

Reinstating bobstone would not only honor his years of dedication but also preserve the trust and continuity that this community has come to rely on. His presence has been integral to the site’s culture and foundation, and losing him would leave a noticeable void.

I know your goal is to maintain a thriving, professional environment, and I truly believe bringing bobstone back would serve that mission. Thank you for considering this perspective.

I've checked a bit the situation, bob went awol for about 3 weeks, we didn't here from from during that time.
Then he appeared and said he had some serious health issues (won't share here, ask bob), we all are sympathetic ofc and understanding it. But Bob is an official employee of duckdice, and as everyone else in our company, we would ask for at least some clarification on a matter, this case - any notice from the hospital or insurance (or anything really), i personally dont think it's unreasonable.

Regarding level of access - for every employee who is AWOL we will remove some access rights just in case your laptop was stolen, etc. Support does have access to players sensitive data, so it's just a good "hygiene" practice.

Bobstone has always been the "go to" person for us players helpful, patient, and genuinely supportive. He’s been around since the very beginning and has always shown loyalty, not just to DuckDice but to the community itself. Whenever players needed help, he was there, putting the users first and earning our trust over the years.

It just doesn’t feel right to lose someone like that. DuckDice has grown with the support of people like him, and letting him go wouldn’t be in the site’s best interest. I really hope the team brings him back fully, because DuckDice is simply better with Bobstone on board.

to all higher ups i plead to give bob a chance since he was also with you in the very beggining. he did serve duckdice a long time like us, and i feel his situation rn. being kind wont do any harm and no fee. but can definitely save lives. thank you dear admins long live duckdice.

  1. I have no idea what is going on, Nor is it any of my need to know.
  2. , as someone who lurks chat often and is here almost daily, I feel like Bob brought life to the chat from what i witnessed,
  3. again i have no idea of ANY of the circumstances, nor issues. Nor is it any of my deal to know..
  4. I just find it an adbrupt change that seems rather odd or misplaced... I Find The chat kinda comical at times from the few times i lurk in there.. im sure bob deserves a second chance, But again, I know nothing and rightfully so, cause its none of my buisness,
  5. There almost daily and cant see bob not being there, hes been in the chat and part of it for so long, it seems odd having him gone!
