I have transmitted the message and I'm glad we're talking abt this like civilized people

So one thing about mute consistency, i actually think you guys would hate it if we weren't as flexible as we generally are and the chat environment would become a lot more constrictive if we applied hard fast rules.

For example, there is a subtle difference between the gifs you posted the-duckling and actually saying those things.

On mute times it's sort of the same thing, if we were very consistent and rigid on it, and due to the nature of crypto gamblers in particular always wishing to push against the system (any system) then we'd be muting more, not less, and eventually for longer, context is always key, purpose and intent, too.

The reason some lengths of time are given varies, in a ideal world, nobody ever needs to be muted, but a chat enviornment where anything goes is usually a horrid experience for a lot of people, so we do need to keep the room level somehow, the main thing that concerns me is the amount of toxicity generally in these last years, i think times are tough out there and people are getting angrier and it's natural to share some of that frustration, but what we can't start doing is bullying people, being nasty to each other, etc.

we as a team are listening though, and we'll wait and see for more feedback, and see if we can create some kind of guidelines that are a bit more involved than just the basics too make it clearer where the lines are.
